Vancouver Native Housing Society is celebrating the completion of the Skwachàys Residence & Healing Lodge and is inviting the Vancouver community to share in the opening and ceremonial blessing of this remarkable social and architectural achievement.
Dignitaries from municipal, provincial, federal and indigenous government will officially open the building at 9:30 AM. A grand community event will immediately follow the opening, and will include a traditional blessing, as well as performances from acclaimed Aboriginal artists from Coast Salish territory and beyond.
